Reduce Pimples with LACTEZIN®

A clinical trial published in the International Journal of Dermatology 20171 found that LACTEZIN can help reduce pimples. The randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to determine the efficacy and safety of Lactoferrin with natural Vitamin E and Zinc was carried out as an oral therapy for mild to moderate Acne vulgaris.  Lactoferrin is a multi-functional iron-binding bovine milk derived glycoprotein that has shown antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects in vitro and in vivo.

The trial was carried out in an attempt to reduce pimples and Acne.  168 subjects aged between 13-40 years old were randomly assigned to take a LACTEZIN capsule twice a day for 3 months.  The group that took LACTEZIN to help reduce pimples significantly reduced Acne lesions.  It was observed that those taking LACTEZIN showed a significant median reduction in total lesions as early as 2 weeks. No adverse events were observed during the trial.

This study concluded that a daily intake of LACTEZIN can significantly reduce pimples and Acne lesions.  In summary LACTEZIN may be considered as an effective replacement to standard pimple reduction and Acne treatment regimes.  Lactoferrin plays an important role in immune regulation and defence mechanisms against bacteria, fungi and viruses.  Lactoferrin interacts with microbial, viral and cell surfaces thus inhibiting microbial and viral adhesion and entry into host cells.

Vitamin E and Zinc which are active ingredients in LACTEZIN have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that are important for supporting damaged skin and helping to reduce pimples.  This will help promote good skin health.
