Where is LACTEZIN® made?
LACTEZIN® is proudly manufactured in Australia according to strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and TGA standards. LACTEZIN® is a TGA Listed Medicine with AUST L 374779.
What is the origin of the lactoferrin used in LACTEZIN®?
The lactoferrin used in the manufacture of LACTEZIN® is produced wholly in Australia from fresh bovine milk.
Will it make me gain weight since lactoferrin comes from milk?
No because the caloric content of 2 capsules of LACTEZIN® each day is insignificant.
What do I do if pimples appear when I take LACTEZIN®?
Continue taking 2 capsules LACTEZIN® daily to address mild to moderate acne. Based on clinical studies, there are cases where pimples appear in the first 2 weeks but will eventually disappear and improve within 8 to 12 weeks duration. To prevent recurrence, continue to take 2 capsules daily for maintenance. Acne treatment depends on the kind of acne you have and the additional factors that trigger acne breakouts, so there is a possibility of still getting acne even during treatment but the severity is reduced with LACTEZIN® versus not taking LACTEZIN®.
At what age can I start taking LACTEZIN®?
Clinical studies have shown that adolescents aged between 13 and 20 found that LACTEZIN® can help treat acne and was well tolerated.
Can I take Lactoferrin if I am lactose intolerant?
Yes. The lactoferrin (extracted from fresh bovine milk) in LACTEZIN® is highly purified and contains only very small amounts of other milk components and is not expected to cause symptoms associated with lactose intolerance.
How to use LACTEZIN® and how much to use?
Take 2 capsules daily with food or as professionally prescribed. It will take at least 2 weeks to start seeing results. Based on clinical studies, best results are seen after 8 to 12 weeks. To help reduce the recurrence of symptoms of acne and pimples, continue to take 2 capsules daily for maintenance.
If the desired skin result is achieved can I stop taking LACTEZIN®?
We recommend that you continue taking 2 capsules daily to help prevent the recurrence of acne.
Should LACTEZIN® be taken exactly 12 hours apart?
It is preferable to take 1 capsule of LACTEZIN® 8-14 hours apart.
Should LACTEZIN® be taken with meals?
It is recommended that LACTEZIN® be taken with food.
How should LACTEZIN® be stored?
LACTEZIN® should be stored at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
